Keeping your contact information up to date is important for several reasons. First, you would be shocked how many people forget about their accounts after leaving an employer and moving.  If your address and email are up to date, you will continue to receive important communication about your account even if you leave your current employer.  Second, your email addresses and cell phone are a part of the multi-factor authentication process that gives you access to your online account.  If your email and cell number change and you don't update your information, you will find your account access blocked the next time you try to login.  Finally, when distributions and loans occur from your account, we send notifications to your email address of record and will call you at your phone number of record.  If your contact information is dated, you may not receive these important notifications that could alert you of potentially fraudulent activity.

Here's how to update your information:

  • Login to your account at https://myplanconnection.com on your computer, phone, or other mobile device.
  • Click on "Security Profile" in top top right navigation.

  • From the security profile page, you can:
    • Change your username
    • Change your password
    • Modify your security questions and answers (pick hard ones where the answer is not obvious based on your location or social media!)
    • Update your email addresses (home, office, other)
    • Update your phone numbers (home, office, cell)
    • If you are "active" with your employer, you must change your address on your payroll file. You cannot change your address on line.  If you are recently "terminated", you should also change the address with your previous employer in the event you are still on a payroll file. If you are terminated, you  must change your address on line.
  • Email and printed notifications that a change was made to your security profile will be sent to all addresses for security reasons.  Distributions to your account are not allowed within 15 days of making a change to your security profile.
