GENERAL LOANS

  1. Pull up participant census and select Loans on left hand side.
  2. Ensure the appropriate loan is selected. This example is cut and dry since there’s only 1 loan shown, but you may often see multiple from prior loans. Just ensure to select the “new loan” and the loan ID number should match an active loan record in PC.
  3. Click delete icon (red circle w/ line through it highlighted below)
  4. Click “OK” when prompted to delete, and you should receive another prompt saying it’s successfully deleted.
  5. Go to loan in PC and change status in top right corner to cancel, and save changes. Ensure to leave a status note saying request was cancelled from ppt or CSR request and put the ticket number if applicable.

HARDSHIP AND/OR RESIDENTIAL LOANS

1) Cancel the request in PC and ensure to note the reason for cancellation.

2) Any loans that have "Loans for Hardship Only" selected in the details tab or the loan type is "Residential" would need to be cancelled in Transactions Approval in Relius by following the below steps if the request has not been approved by the sponsor as of yet. Always ensure to save changes.

3)  Locate transaction by searching for Web Confirm ID for the transaction you are cancelling. The web confirm ID is located on the details tab of the loan in PC and is a six digit number.

 * Please note if the request has been approved by the sponsor already, you will instead follow the initial steps seen above for cancelling General Loans and delete the participant's loan from their census. You would no longer be able to cancel in Transaction Approval screen.

It is a best practice to log in to the participant's account on MyPlanConnection after these steps are performed to ensure there is no longer a pending transaction error that would prevent the participant from entering a new transaction. If there is still a pending transaction error, there is further research needed to determine where this stems from or it may be necessary to follow the above steps again to ensure an item was deleted or cancelled properly.
